Creative Renaissance
By Glenn Horton, Founder of Artists Helping Artists (AHA!) A lot of power and freedom is possible when artists connect up and assist each other. The value of uniting creative forces should not be underestimated. Even those who wish a society of slaves do not underestimate this power, which is why the artist is very often attacked, ridiculed, criticized, degraded or drugged -- and, further, divided and conquered. When artists unite, relationships and creativity begin to flourish. Groups and societies begin to flourish. And this, in turn, helps the individual artists themselves flourish. Creative Spirits Working TogetherSociety and culture develop much faster when artists join forces and work together. Without a powerful group of creative spirits working together, America would never have been born and would not have survived, to the degree that it has, to this day. A highly creative group of individuals dreamed it up and made it happen over 200 years ago. And other creative individuals are responsible for keeping whatever flame still exists alive, burning and bright. Throughout history, the beauty and glory generated by groups of creative thinkers, artists and doers has been significant. Many of the great cathedrals, monuments, works of art and great civilizations were the result of close relationships and the sharing of purpose -- creative spirits working together with a common goal. When Renaissances are BornWhen creative spirits get together, creative sparks fly & burn brighter. When this happens, the broad scope of life also becomes a work of art. Those works of art expand outwards to include relationships, neighborhoods, organizations and even civilization. Renaissances are made possible when creative spirits with highly constructive and aesthetic purposes share ideas, join forces, help each other and work together. When this is done well, renaissances are born and new stars adorn the sky! © Copyright 2002. Field of Dreams Publishing. All International Rights Reserved.
