Aha! Inspiration Retreats Announcing Friendly Artists' Retreats from Aha! (Click on the retreat titles below for further details.)
Friday, June 2 to Wednesday, June 7, 2006 on 370 miles of magnificent Lake Shasta shoreline includes accommodations at the "castle" on Lake Shasta and our own private house boat excursions on this most uniquely gorgeous lake. Glenn Horton, Founder of Aha! and Daniel Bittleston the Imagination Troubadour are taking 10 to 12 individuals on this truly awesome retreat. Some spots still available! Reinvigorating your Sense of Wonder Artists and creative people require time away from their homes, their cities and away from their daily lives of thought and imagination. They must "breathe" by getting out and experiencing the majesty of nature. Without this they are too easily trapped in their own thoughts, isolated and, moreover, their creative impulses and works suffer as a result. Aha! Inspiration Retreats occur three to four times a year at various natural locations selected for their exquisite natural beauty. These unique gatherings bring together artists, arts leaders and visionaries or ANYONE WHO LOVES THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT AND APPRECIATES BEAUTY. By balancing excursions into the wilderness (viewing and touching the physical beauties of nature... possibly getting a little dirty or wet), with highly creative and visionary nightly sessions, Aha! Inspiration Retreats reinvigorate your sense of wonder and beauty. Make New Friends for Life! The Aha! Inspiration Retreats welcome all types of artists, visionaries and nature lovers. You do not have to see yourself as an artist to attend. If you appreciate natural beauty or simply like being around creative people (who isn't creative in some sphere) you are welcome to join us. Our retreats are open to, and gather together, individuals from around the country. And you will make new friends for life! You may bring your spouse with you, whether an artist or not. You may bring a young artist or child over the age of 12 with you. We encourage young artists to be in an environment that is caring and respects those inclined to the creative side of life whether young or old, beginner or pro. By being in the vicinity of other creative people... we all grow and become bigger. ONCE YOU SIGN UP. Once you sign up for a retreat you will receive more information by email including exact directions to the retreat, suggestions on what to bring, a simple Retreat Questionnaire on what you are looking to achieve, etc. You simply fill those out and return them. (Note: Participant approval is required of all registrants. This enables retreat staff to verify that prospective participants are prepared for any challenges of the trip, and allows leaders to be prepared in case of emergency. Though our environmental excursions on our retreats are moderate in nature... it can be inconvenient to others to have an unprepared participant on a retreat. This very seldom occurs and we usually have alternative options on hikes and excursions.)
