Kathi Nolls brings over 20 years’ experience in the fields of Marketing, Computers, Promotion, Design and other administrative functions to her role as Editor of the national Aha! magazine The Creative Line magazine and international Aha! ezine The Creative Bullet. She was born in near Dayton Ohio but, after a short trip to Whittier, CA spent her high school years near Cleveland. From an early age, she was immersed in all forms of art - dancing, playing clarinet and piano, drawing concept cars and fashions or writing short stories filled her off-hours. Both of her brothers play instruments (her younger brother still plays bass guitar with a fusion band) and her sister sings like an angel. She relates, "I would come home from school and anything from 'Flight of the Bumblebee" or one of the Brandenberg Concertos to Elvis or Sachmo would be playing on the radio. I attribute my love of all things artistic to being raised by active, creative parents: a full-time Mom who played piano, sang with the Akron & Cleveland Symphony choruses, dabbled in oil painting and headed up most of the PTA committees as well as a mechanical engineer Dad who played trumpet, volunteered as a band parent and produced small theatre productions when not on the road for his business. I grew up in a community where arts mattered: there were four different bands, several small theatre groups, art classes in abundance and field trips to cultural centers every year in school. I can't imagine Life without the creative energy that comes with the arts." As a self-taught graphic designer, Kathi and her creative team at Aha! is constantly discovering new ways to make The Creative Line magazine, our websites and other displays more attractive, compelling and aesthetic. As The Creative Line Magazine Editor, she seeks articles that will motivate artists and innovators of all disciplines to be more successful as artists and also as community builders. Kathi has been blessed with the "best job in the world" discovering new, emerging and professional artists, musicians, poets and other creative peoples with imaginative works that inspire. |
